Electric Guitar Diagram, Parts and Essential Stuffs
In this chapter there's essential information about (guitar parts, finger numbering...)
that you should know to understand next lessons
Guitar structure

Left hand finger numbering
|
Fingers on the left hand have follow numbers:
note: the thumb almost doesn't participate in playing and has no number.
|

|
String numbering
|
The strings on guitar also have numbers:
The thinnest string is 1st.
The thickest one is 6th string.
|
 |
Fret numbering on the fingerboard
|
Fret is an metal stripe inserted into fingerboard. But when it comes to guitar lessons, tablatures,
exercising and etc... word fret actually means the space between two metal strips, not metal strip itself
Each guitar fret also has a number, 1st one is the nearest to the headstock.
(if you see 0 in guitar tab, it means an open string so you shouldn't push any fret)
it makes very easy to write and read guitar music by means of tablatures (shortly tabs) instead of sheet music notation.

Round signs in the middle of 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 12th, 15th, 17th, 19th, 21th, 24th frets are made to help you
orientate around the neck. On some instruments they can look as half a fret triangles.
